Advanced guide to horse behaviour; the ‘Complex’ or ‘Evolutionary’ horse
This advanced course expands to focus on understanding the horse both as an individual and from an evolutionary perspective. This course is more complex as it brings into use all the previously gained knowledge and applies it as a set of foundation skills with which we will be able to go and study a new group of horses, draw comparisons and relate it back to the domestic horse.
What we cover on this course:
• Domestication
• Introduction to the Psychology of the horse
• Observation of a free-living group
• Comparative behavioural analysis of all the horses studied
• Understanding when and why to use horse behaviour
